Entertaining themes such as backstabbing, murders and other social activities hit on the points that our brain was evolved to react deeply to in order to understand and navigate the world we live in. While entertainment may be fun and enjoyable, it often stimulates the brain to realease seratonin and dopamine which can actually be beneficial in promoting emotional growth. However, what is considered entertaining to one individual or group may not be for another.
