Articles About Entertaiment

According to Oliver and Barstsch (2010), entertainment is understood objectively, involves communication between text and audience from external stimulus, offers pleasure, requires an audience and occurs in a passive form. It can be found in a variety of forms from music, food and games to movies and sporting events. Entertainment is often abbreviated as entmt on fliers or industry news publications where space is limited.

Children’s entertainment is important for their development. It can teach them to mimic adult activities, such as performances (on television); prepare them for future responsibilities like child rearing and social interaction through play; or develop motor skills needed for sports and music.
